Doctoral Students

We are always seeking a talented graduate students with outstanding creativity and great communication skills .  Graduate work entails working in multidisciplinary teams of engineers, scientists, and doctors.  The research in our lab spans the entire range of device development.  From design and development of microfluidic systems for sample preparation and cellular analysis in the front-end, to electrochemical sensors for point-of-care analysis on the back-end.  Applications can be submitted by email to Dr. Papautsky - papauts@uic.edu - and should include a statement of long term goals and a resume.

Undergraduate Students

We have multiple REU (research experience for undergraduates) opportunities in the lab, either during the academic year or during the summer.  Undergraduate researchers work with graduate students or postdocs ion projects spanning the entire range of device development.  From design and development of microfluidic systems for sample preparation and cellular analysis in the front-end, to electrochemical sensors for point-of-care analysis on the back-end.  Applications can be submitted by email to Dr. Papautsky - papauts@uic.edu - and must include a resume and a brief statement of research areas of interest.
